Today in math, we are going to begin working with inequalities and determining which answers would fit the inequality. For example if it says that: x + 2 is great than or equal to 7; which of the following would make that true 3, 4, or 5 . If you plug in each of the possibilities, the only one that makes it true would be 5, so that would be the answer. By the end of the week, we will be able to solve these problems without having answers to choose from as well as graph them on a number line. We also will be able to solve 2-step inequalities as well. We will be finishing up the rest of the chapter this week and will be testing on it next week on Tuesday.
In social studies we are starting another DBQ. This time it is on How the Nile Shaped Egypt. We will be discussing things such as their transportation and trade routes. I also am going to be going over the essays and the rubrics again. I have been reading their persuasive essays on Hammurabi's Code and it is apparent that many students did not use the rubric that was posted on here or on Edline when writing their papers. This will make them better writers by the end of the year.
Have a good day. I will talk to all of you tomorrow.
